I have helped many schools with their professional development needs, including Mason's ideas on philosophy, methodology, assessment, and classroom management. Some teachers have been brand new, and others were more seasoned. Whatever your needs, contact me below and let me know what you are looking for.
Allow your teachers to live a day or more as a student in a Mason classroom. I have found this to be one of the most effective ways to help teachers who are new to the paradigm "get it." Seeing each lesson modeled gives them something to emulate, while seeing the methods from the students' perspective helps them realize their value.
In these sessions, participants learn the whats, whys, and wherefores of one of Mason's methods. They then get the opportunity to plan their own lessons with support and practice teaching them in small groups with feedback.
I will contract with your school to spend time observing in classrooms and providing feedback on fidelity to Mason's philosophy and methods, classroom culture, and teacher effectiveness. I will then help teachers make adjustments and make recommendations for improvement that can be used within the school's development plan.
